Aqua Dome Hotel, distingué with its unrivaled thermal spa, is located in Ötztal Valley surrounded by the Tyrolean Alps, by the lovely yet modern Austrian town of Längenfeld. Using freshwater springs that have been flowing underground for centuries in its spa, this premium facility is officially certified as a natural mineral spa according to regional legislation.

The overall architecture of the Hotel blends a futuristic glass-domed design with the natural elements of the Öztzal Alps, and the Spa is strikingly harmonious with the spaceship-like outdoor pools. The Spa's contemporary design, reflecting the snowy Alpine colors, contrasts attractively especially with the sauna areas adorned with wood and natural stones. The Hotel's more than 200 accommodations are crowned with Alpine decor that creates a homey atmosphere without sacrificing comfort. Ranging from cozy double rooms to panoramic suites with fireplaces to spacious “Raumwunder” family suites with multiple rooms and bathrooms, the rooms look greatly inviting thanks to red elements and wood accents mixed with warm earth tones.

Unique Pools Throughout the World

Probably the most captivating part of the Hotel is the thermal spa, which offers more than 10 pools and sauna facilities in its huge 50,000 square meters of space. The Crystal Center, including two large pools with waterfalls and other features, solarium and quiet rooms, offers a stunning view of the Alps through its large domed windows. It links to the bubbly River Pool, which carries us to the outdoor pools when we wish. Outside, the naturally heated “basin” pools that resemble UFOs are undoubtedly the first things that catch our eye... With the underwater music and lighting effects promoting the anti gravity effect, these pools tinge our experience with a dreamlike atmosphere. The 25-meter lap pool stretching under the basins and massage pools are perfect for those who want to add energy and vitality to their aquatic pleasure.

On Friday nights, in these unique pools, we can also experience a sensuous “Moonlight Bath” ritual with the stars in our view.

The Spa also has a water world for families with children: “Noah’s Ark of the Alps”. While the little ones have fun here under supervision, parents can take on deep spa journeys with peace of mind...

Comprehensive “Sauna World”

Capturing the contrast of steam and ice in a distinct transition, Sauna World features impressive saunas, steam rooms, indoor and outdoor pools and relaxation areas.

In more than seven sauna rooms, temperatures range from 45 to 100 °C and humidity varies from 5% to 100%. The ones that's impressed us the most are the 'Gorge Sauna' with its open panoramic view and fireplace that awakens our inner self with infusions of vitamin C, pine and even beer, and the ‘Heustadl Sauna’ that transforms a simple barn atmosphere into an unusual sauna experience with precious essential oils. Among the steam rooms, stands out the 'Brine Steam Bath' and 'Brine Grotto' pool, relaxing both our skin and soul with their rich minerals, and the 'Steam Dome', pampering with treatments such as yogurt massage and Ötztal honey peeling in its Moroccan hammam-like ambiance. 

The Spa center also promises an unparalleled hot-cold transition through its panoramic pool with massage jets, outdoor Jacuzzis, the Kneipp Path and our favorite, the ‘Waterfall’ where the ice-cold Tyrolean spring water pours down on us from a height of 10 meters.

Among the relaxation areas, the guests' favorite is 'Zirbenwarme' with its floating sun loungers heated by infrared lights, crowned with natural Swiss stone pine and 'Queen of the Alps' scents. Other relaxation areas include 'Mountain Impressions' filled with restful water beds, the Spa Garden with terraces enclosing the outdoor pool, and 'Mountain Peace', which blends perfectly with the lush nature.

Spa Within a Spa: Spa 3000

Exclusive to hotel guests and visitors with selected Day-Spa packages, SPA 3000 combines the natural power of aromatic Alpine herbs and revitalizing minerals with visionary elegance. Most popular areas of this adults-only center include the 'Moosgumpe' pool refreshful with its natural moss-covered walls, the 'Ötztal Mineral Bath' that appears as if carrying the healing energy of the present moment with its enchanting light ambience, and the panoramic 'Längenfeld Badl'n' with its jetted individual thermal beds.

The spacious two-storey spa center also includes a private spa suite with facilities such as a Finnish sauna and a Bovi double bathtub, an herbal tea patio, the 'Bar Hochsitz' to let us sip our drink around the central fireplace, as well as a relaxation area with a high glass dome that winks at the clouds.

Thermal-Inspired Signature Treatments

Aqua Dome has a special “Thermal Deep” care series that focuses on thermal springs from a depth of approximately 2,000 meters and healing plants unique to Ötztal. Treatments with this series range from Gua Sha facials to relaxation massages and exfoliating bath rituals. Among the signature Wave treatments applied on water beds specially designed for the Hotel, inspired by the unique movements and sounds of water waves, '3 WAVES - Lift Your Spirit' to help us reconnect with our inner strength, 'WAVEFit' to sooth our muscles after invigorating activities like skiing and mountain trips, and the little ones' favorite 'WAVEparadise' take the lead. Also the special treatments like the 'WAVESoft' from Wave line, exceptionally created for our sweet expectant mothers, seem pretty comforting.

The facility's authentic Spa menu offers many other treatments and therapies such as the innovative rejuvenation treatments including 'QMS Pure Oxygen Boost' made with QMS Medicosmetics products, individual/couple massages and bath rituals enriched by Tyrolean mountain honey, Swiss stone pine and local herbal extracts, and ultrasound treatments served in Fuhlendorf® concept.

‘Aquaventures’ Balancing Our Essence

Aqua Dome is quite popular for its Forest Bath excursions, which invigorates all our senses by the surrounding vibrant fauna, idyllic springs and awe-inspiring glaciers of Ötztal Nature Park, one of Austria's largest nature reserves.

At the Hotel, we can experience customized 'Watsu' therapy in elevated basins accompanied by Zen Shiatsu. Another must-try activity is the ‘Sound Bath - Floating ’ in the Moosegumpe pool, where we descend into our deeper being with singing bowls that gently sound as we float in the thermal waves.
